Those who take the time to post funny things on the internet for us all to consume deserve recognition that they don't always get. Every single day, millions of people pick up their phones or boot up their computers, hoping to be distracted and amused by whatever entertaining content the algorithm decides to serve them. This constant demand for humor does not magically fulfill itself, as much as it may feel that way at times. It is met by all the intrepid individuals who create and share this content just because they can. 

More often than not, they do this with little expectation of reward. A lot of the time, the only real tangible payoff is the fleeting clout that comes from going viral. It can be seen as a strangely selfless contribution, and it's the backbone of the entire meme ecosystem. Without these people feeding the machine, the internet as we know it would not even exist. 

The least we can do, then, is show our appreciation by fully engaging with what they put out into the world and taking every opportunity to consume it. That is where a list of memes like the one below comes into play. There's no need to scour your social media feed of choice in the hopes that there is some genuine amusement to be found in amongst the noise, as here we have the guarantee that this is the sole focus.
